This review will be a bit different. Action movies are not usually my favorite. Sometimes they feel too thin or too shallow. So in honor of action movies my review will be the same way...
Here are 10 things I have to say about the movie.
1. Hell Fuckin' Yeah. The action sequences made me say it out loud, twice!
2. Leonidas was a real hero. The best since Maximus in Gladiator.
3. Xerxes was a creepy bad guy.
4. The cinematic presentation was amazing. Every bit as good as expected.
5. The choreography was spectacular.
6. The slow-motion and stop-motion bits made me hold my breath everytime.
7. The monologues were a bit contrived, but I believed everything they said.
8. Did every Spartan have a membership at Gold's?
9. The movie lacked significant sub-plots. (But don't all action flicks)
10. Frank Miller's graphic novels turned movies are 2 for 2. I will see the 3rd no matter what it is.
