Heroes, The Office

Heroes went out with more pop then boom. I kept hearing about the amazing finale and then what we got was more a water pistol fight than a nuclear explosion. Several characters lives hang in the balance. A new big bad is expected to emerge. And Sylar is still alive and kicking. Which means this season really only accomplished one thing...they stopped the bomb. Which I guess is good, but where does that leave us? Hiro is in 17th century Japan and from what I hear he will be there a while. Parkman is likely not dead, but D.L. is more than likely gone. Nikki/Jessica have merged and her character is now one dimensional and pretty boring. Molly has a pretty amazing gift and I'm sure she will be key in what happens next year. Peter and Nathan will likely be back too...For a show that had gained so much steam I feel like we took a giant step backwards tonight creatively. I'm not sure this show will be on my "must-see" list next year.

The Office meanwhile had everything you could want from a finale. Break-ups, firing, and a twist. While Ryan getting the corporate job might not be the biggest twist of the finale season it was certainly unexpected and likely will provide a very new point of view for everyone in Scranton. The temp is now the boss and Michael isn't going to like that very much. And Jim asking Pam out was a bit premature I guess, since Karen didn't get the job. So how will she handle it all. My guess, she quits to head up another show...but that's just a guess. HA.

I know with a finale like The Office there will be a lot of differing opinions. Let me know what you thought of the episode.

OUT!

In my opinion, Heroes fell well short of being good and I don't just mean the finale. I felt the show only had 3 or 4 good episodes the entire year. If I you asked me right now if I was going to watch it next year I would say probably not. Maybe something will change between now and next season, but there were just too many "drag it on" episodes for my taste.
