THE PRICE IS RIGHT

Who should be the new host of The Price Is Right? I've been hearing Rosie's name bounced around lately. Do you have any opinions?
Here is my list of the top 5 best candidates to fill Bob's shoes:

5. Arsenio Hall
4. Kathy Griffin
3. Dave Coulier
2. Dave Chapelle
1. William Shatner

Conan O'Brien is out of late late television and into Leno's spot in less than 2 years. NBC is already working hard to make sure the spot is filled with someone the world knows and loves. There is still a possibility that Leno could remain on as the host of the Tonight Show, leaving Conan 40 million dollars richer, but with no place to host. Who should fill Conan's chair? Well right now this minute the two leading faces are Jimmy Fallon and Jon Stewart. Who would I like to see, besides these two (Stewart would top my list here)

5. Jerry Seinfeld
4. Mitch Fatel
3. Crispin Glover
2. William Shatner
1. Charles Barkley

OUT!

Seeing as though i have tivoed Price is Right since we got our tivo and i am loyal fan..i think my opinion matters. And of your 5 i think the only one i would ever watch on there is Dave Coulier. Outside of that if Rosie and trash butt gets on there i would never EVER watch it again!

I'm kind of with Holly here. I don't like most of the people on that list. I do think Dave Coulier and Shatner could both be good, but everyone else would suck so bad. I think Rosie is the single worst choice anyone has given so far. I can't believe Bob Barker backed her, and I can't believe CBS is seriously considering her. WTF?

I still love the idea of John O'Hurley hosting Price is Right.

As for the other list. I'd suggest John Stewart (of course) but I also think Michael Ian Black would be great. And I know Seth Rogan has a big movie career to tend to, but he'd rock on that as well.

Yeah Michael Ian Black would be perfect...but He got passed over for Craig K's job that eventually went to Craig F. So, I didn't put him on the list.
Obviously you've never seen Mitch Fatel on Leno or you would know why he is a perfect fit for a late night hosting job.
AND Charles Barkley is easily the funniest, most opinionated person that you could ever put on tv. He would be amazing.
Shatner on TPIR would be amazing. He's such a schmooze. I thought he did a great job on his short lived game show last year. The show premise was just a bit lame.

I think that someone brings up Rosie every time there is an opening on a show. I think she's way too opinionated to be a game show host. I think Shatner would be great; he's just campy enough and not offensive to anyone.

I think Jon Stewart is way too political for a late night talk show. He is perfect in the forum he is in now on the Daily Show. I love the idea of Charles Barkley, or Jimmy Fallon, both of whom will keep it a little on the lighter side and blend into the whole pop culture scene.

Oh, yeah, I've seen Mitch on TV before so he would definitely work. I was just trying to suggest some new people.

I remember Michael Ian Black getting passed over when Craig Kilborn left; but I also heard they considered Jimmy Fallon for that job and decided he wasn't a good fit, either. So if they're opening up dialogue with Fallon again, could Michael Ian Black be far behind? (Probably. MIB doesn't have nearly the same profile as JF, but I can dream, right?)

And I agree with Stephanie. Stewart is such an awesome fit for Daily Show; I feel like moving to NBC would be a letdown.

Couldnt we just bring Bob Barker back...reality is, it wont be the same without him...so anyone will take some getting used to unfortunately.

I think you're right Holly. No one is ever going to replace Bob so trying to do so really is just an exercise in futility.
